DC-Cholesterol Liposomes for DNA/RNA Delivery

DC-cholesterol liposomes are a type of lipid nanoparticle that have shown promise for DNA/RNA delivery. These liposomes are composed of a mixture of cationic and neutral lipids, including 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane (DOTAP), cholesterol, and other components. The cationic lipids in the liposomes interact with the negatively charged DNA or RNA molecules, forming liposome-DNA/RNA complexes that can enter cells and deliver the genetic material. DC-cholesterol liposomes have several advantages for DNA/RNA delivery. They are relatively easy to prepare, can protect the genetic material from degradation, and can be targeted to specific cell types using ligands on the surface of the liposomes. In addition, they are generally well-tolerated by cells and have low toxicity.

CD Bioparticles manufactures and supplies DC-cholesterol liposomes for DNA/RNA delivery research. Contact us to find out how DC-cholesterol liposomes can help your work.
