DODAP Liposomes for DNA/RNA Delivery

DODAP (Dioctadecyldimethylammonium bromide) liposome is a cationic liposome commonly used for DNA/RNA delivery. Studies have shown that DODAP has a positively charged head group that can interact with the negatively charged phosphate backbone of DNA/RNA molecules, resulting in complex formation. In addition, DODAP has a high phase transition temperature, which enables it to form stable liposomes at physiological temperatures. Liposomes composed of DODAP are biodegradable and biocompatible, making them suitable for in vivo use. DODAP liposomes have been shown to efficiently deliver DNA/RNA to cells in vitro and in vivo, making them useful tools for gene therapy and other applications.

CD Bioparticles manufactures and supplies DODAP liposomes for DNA/RNA delivery research. Contact us to find out how DODAP liposomes can help your work.
