Common Use DMPA NHBOC-azide dendrons are monodisperse, multifunctional scaffolds with 1 protected amine focal point and an exact number of azide surface groups. After deprotection, the amine focal point can be used for EDC/DCC coupling or coupling to NHS esters,  while the azide surface groups can be used for click chemistry coupling reactions, such as CuAAC and SPAAC, yielding highly functional materials. The dendritic polymer is biodegradable and have low cytotoxicity, and can be used in theranostics, biosensors, optics, adhesives and coatings.
