Common Use | Poly-L-glutamic acid sodium salt is a negatively charged synthetic polyamino acid having one Na per glutamic acid unit. It is a crystalline solid soluble in water. Applications for poly-L-glutamic acid sodium salt include the conjugation to active molecules for improved activities and the layer-by-layer deposition techniques for surface coating. This particular poly-L-glutamic acid sodium salt has a non-reactive urea function on the N-terminal and a trityl protected thiol function on the C-terminal. The trityl group is easily cleavable using a TFA/Et3SiH (98:2 v/v) mixture. Our polyamino acid has been purified by dialysis, sterile-filtered on 0.2um, lyophilized, and stored under Ar. |
