Common Use | Thiol-Poly-L-lysine-Thiol (SH-PLL-SH) is a linear homobifunctional poly(L-lysine) with thiol groups on the PLL ends. PLL is a positively charged synthetic polyamino acid, and crystalline solid soluble in water. Thiol group can react with -SH or maleimide groups. Thiol-PEG-thiol may be used to for bioconjugation, drug delivery, PLL hydrogel, crosslinker, and surface functionalization. Applications for poly-L-lysine include the promotion of cell adhesion to solid substrates for culture dishes or slides, the conjugation to active molecules for improved activities, the layer-by-layer deposition techniques, and the complexation with nucleic acids for gene expression. |
