Common Use | DSPE-polysarcosine (DSPE-pSar) is a lipid-polypeptoid conjugate based on the endogenous amino acid sarcosine (N-methylated glycine), which has previously shown potent stealth properties. As a polymer, pSar combines PEG-like properties, e.g., excellent solubility in water, protein resistance, low cellular toxicity and a non-immunogenic character, while being based on endogenous material. Recently it was gained broader attention and is considered a potential alternative of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG). DSPE-polysarcosine can be used to prepupae stealth nanoparticles which are potentially an alternative of PEG modification. |
