MOFs are short for metal organic framework compounds. It is a class of crystalline porous materials with periodic network structure formed by the self-assembly of inorganic metal centers (metal ions or metal clusters) and bridged organic ligands. MOFs are organic-inorganic hybrid materials, also known as coordination polymers. It is different from both inorganic porous materials and general organic complexes. It has both the rigidity of inorganic materials and the flexibility of organic materials. MOFs are generally composed of two parts, namely organic ligands and metal centers, which function as pillars and nodes, respectively. In addition to the commonly used types of organic ligands, there are also some linkers that are difficult to classify.
CD Bioparticles manufactures and supplies other MOFs linkers for MOFs synthesis. Contact us to find out how other MOFs linkers can help your work.
