Triphenylbenzene

Triphenylbenzene (TPB) is a fluorophore with electron-rich properties and photochemical stability. It is found that the replacement of the peripheral benzene ring with different groups can be used to construct various organic block materials with luminescent, discotic liquid crystal and high porosity characteristics. For example, 1,3,5-Triphenylbenzene substituted with a carboxylic acid is an organic linker of a metal-organic framework (MOF). Similarly, amine (–NH2), aldehyde (–CHO), boronic acid (–B(OH)2), and cyano (-CN)-substituted 1,3,5-TPB have been used to prepare covalent organic frameworks (COFs). MOFs constructed with Triphenylbenzene are also electron-rich and photochemically stable, which is very useful for the tracking and research of drug delivery vehicles constructed with this.

CD Bioparticles manufactures and supplies triphenylbenzene linkers for MOFs synthesis. Contact us to find out how triphenylbenzene linkers can help your work.
